Blame the Machines (2008)
While sitting in Matt’s room one night listening to the collection of songs that would later make up this album, Aldous and Matt made the shocking discovery that all the tracks they had been writing seemed to revolve around one central theme. After discovering this, the two pieced together what ended up being a very interesting (and also very terrifying) tale about a man being driven to madness by his obsession with a girl and the resulting internal conflict between good & evil, love & hate, dreams & nightmares, and hope & defeat.
